Essay Topics I Believe in

Essay Topics I Believe inIf you're trying to write an essay, you may be wondering if there are some topics that I believe in. If you know this one, you're sure to have an easier time of writing a successful paper!First of all, let's start with the legal world. You probably already know that I am a former prosecutor. I now work as a private criminal defense attorney. My clients include young, violent offenders who deserve the severe punishment they will get. So I am very much aware of the reality of crime in our society and the laws that can be enforced against the criminals. Now when I speak about law and the legal system, I don't mean that I am an expert in either field. I am a 'do it yourself' type of person who believes that you need to be prepared and knowledgeable before you use your brain or your reasoning skills to try to defend a case. In fact, many of my criminal defense clients have a very hard time actually telling me what they believe because they don't want to make me mad !I've spoken at many community colleges and universities as well as several local internet forums where people share their views and opinions on a variety of subjects. The topic of laws and their enforcement is always near the top of the list for discussion. Many have thought about using insanity defenses, 'stand your ground' or self-defense defenses, or some other questionable argument. The point is, many people have thought about these things and even tried them and failed. And many times, it is not so much what they think, but how they feel, their own story and how it affects their situation. So in many ways, they are likely not fully prepared for the trial. They will feel like they were lied to, have no real explanation for their situation, and have very little hope of winning their case.Am I saying you should never defend yourself? No, you should always be ready and willing to defend yourself if the circumstances warrant it. However, when your intent is to seek justice for the h arm you have done, you must be prepared to answer for your actions, regardless of whether you win or lose the case. You must be prepared to do whatever it takes to defend yourself. And if you're in a situation where you are defending yourself against a criminal, and you are truly seeking justice, then you must be prepared to defend yourself, even if it is against a person that has not done anything wrong. Don't ever underestimate the aggressiveness of a criminal. Some of them can really be nasty! However, you need to stand your ground and fight for your life.If you are seeking help from a criminal defense attorney, then you must speak honestly about what your intent is. If you're trying to argue a 'stand your ground' or insanity defense, be prepared to tell him or her exactly what you intend to do, and state your rationale for that purpose. Do not attempt to conceal the truth, but instead, be completely open and honest about your intent.
